Having earned a rep’ as ‘the World’s Most Beautiful Marathon’ – the Air New Zealand Queenstown International Marathon is certainly a tough one to beat when it comes to location. Set between the world-renowned Crown and Remarkable mountain ranges, this naturally beautiful and rugged course soaks up the deep blue Lake Wakatipu. You’ll need to get yourself signed up quick, as this is usually a sell-out event!

Race around the ramparts

International Marathon of Marrakech
The International Marathon of Marrakech is said to be one of the fastest in the world – with a flat, single circuit of the city. Run around the red-tinged ramparts, dating back to the 12th century; along dusty roads and through the olive tree-lined Menara Gardens. This race promises to be a delight for the senses and attracts more than 9,000 runners from across the globe.

An eye on London

The London Landmarks Half Marathon
Soak up the sights of England’s capital, as you run through both the City of London and City of Westminster – taking in iconic highlights including St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard and the Tower of London. Runners will get to explore the city on a route like no other. The event, owned by baby charity, Tommy’s, attracted over 12,000 participants and around 50,000 spectators on event day with 180 charity cheer stations. Over 74,000 people have entered into the ballot for 2020.

Angkor Wat International Half Marathon
Yep, you heard that right- a half marathon at a UNESCO World Heritage site! Run alongside the ruins of the ancient stone city of Angkor Wat – a stunning and iconic temple, often at the top of many ‘must-see’ wish lists.  What’s more, the internationally recognized half marathon in the heart of Siam Reap, raises relief for victims of landmines in Cambodia.

Vodafone Istanbul Marathon The Vodafone Istanbul Marathon spans two continents – offering participants the chance to run in both Europe and Asia!  Once the final stage of the legendary Silk Road, many merchants decided to stay in this exotic city – which is now home to 13 million people. The marathon takes in the incredible Blue Mosque, the Galata Bridge and finishes at the Hippodrome – once the meeting point for Romans, Byzantium and Ottoman Empire.
