London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) hopefuls have now discovered if they made the ballot for the 2020 race on 29th March. Despite being only the third edition of the race, a record 74,143 people entered the 2020 event ballot.
The event capacity for next year has increased to 14,000 and all unsuccessful runners in the main ballot have automatically been entered in to the second-chance ballot, to be announced this Friday 5th July. There will also be a number of places available, for a huge selection of charities, including: Tommy’s, Prostate Cancer UK, Mind, Parkinson’s and Macmillan Cancer Support.
iTAB has partnered with LLHM for the past two years and are thrilled that the iTAB medal insert was such an integral feature on their innovative clamshell 2019 medal. The intricate St. Paul’s Cathedral design was named ‘Medal of the Month’ by The Running Bible, while the LLHM 2018 London Eye design romped home with both ‘Medal of the Month’ and ‘Medal of the Year’!
iTAB look forward to working with such a forward-thinking and exciting race again in 2020, offering its participants the chance to personalise their finisher medals with their name and finish time.

The event is organised by baby and pregnancy charity, Tommy’s – who have five research centres across the UK that investigate the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. The charity smashed their fundraising target of £6 million, raising over £12.2 million for good causes since the launch of the event.
Since iTAB’s birth over a decade ago, over 1,000,000 athletes worldwide have enjoyed celebrating their incredible achievements with an iTAB. Now, the iTAB service is available to London Landmarks runners – helping them to remember their race day for years to come.
The Half Marathon attracted 12,000 runners in March this year including Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden, and 20 other celebrities. But the main attraction was the route – a flat, closed-road run, which is the only half marathon to go through both the City of Westminster and the City of London – taking in an array of cultural landmarks and showing off the city’s quirky and hidden secrets!
The event welcomed around 50,000 spectators on event day with 180 charity cheer stations along the route.

Quirky facts about London on lampposts, even the bells ringing continually at one of the churches we ran past – every metre of the route had something interesting to see. It’s an honour to work with such a forward-thinking event organiser and I’m excited to see how the iTAB looks in the 2020 medal…I wonder what Landmark it will be!”

Runners simply collect their medal at the finish line and their iTAB will arrive in the post a few days later engraved with their name & finish time.
