This year iTAB celebrates its 20-year partnership with two of Australia’s premier road races—the Gold Coast Marathon and the Sydney Marathon, a candidate for the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Major.
The ASICS Sydney Marathon boasts one of the world’s most scenic courses, highlighting iconic landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Recognized as a World Athletics Label Road Race, the Gold Coast Marathon, powered by Chery, stands as the pinnacle of road running events in Australia and has earned a distinguished reputation worldwide.
In addition to usual stunning medal photography produce by the iTAB for both events, this year the marketing team went one step further with a suite of engaging video content focusing on the human stories and spirit of the thousands of runners who participate.
As part of the iTAB Star’s video series which puts the spotlight on inspirational runners, they interviewed Clare Wall, inducted into the Gold Coast Marathon 10-year marathon club in 2022.
The video gave a fascinating insight into Clare’s running story that began when she ran her first marathon in 1979. On her 60th birthday she set herself a challenge to run the New York Marathon, which she accomplished in the fastest time for her age group. She went on to run all of the ‘big six’ international marathons, and in 2022 she completed her 10th Gold Coast Marathon.
iTAB also produced trailers for both events featuring uplifting and celebratory footage of participants, and showcasing the iTAB that marks the personal achievement of ever runner.
