iTAB 2023: A Year of Achievements, Adventures, and New Horizons 🚀

By 20th December 2023No Comments

As we bid farewell to another eventful year, iTAB reflects on a journey filled with exciting adventures, industry connections, and a growing family of partners. Here’s a glimpse into the highlights that defined iTAB’s 2023.

Connecting on the Slopes: Winter Park and Running USA

The year kicked off with a Team iTAB ski-trip to Winter Park, en route to Running USA, the industry’s flagship conference held in Denver, presented by Race Roster. For Rob, Alexis and Luke it was their inaugural RUSA event, and a fantastic opportunity to put names to faces and dive headfirst into the current issues and insights of an industry levelling up after the challenges of the last three years. Always insightful and always a bright guiding light for the global running community.

National Running Show: Bridging Connections in Birmingham

February saw Rob and Alexis at the National Running Show in Birmingham, where they engaged with timers, medal providers, event organizers, and fellow runners. The largest community meet-up in the year, the show brings together inspiring speakers, cutting-edge technologies, and best nutrition advice all under one roof.

London Landmarks Half Marathon: Running with Pride

In April, Rob, Alexis, Lisa and Luke took on the challenge of the London Landmarks Half Marathon. As partners of this outstanding race, it was an honour for the iTAB team to run this incredible course with amazing support, and we even managed to achieve two PBs. Now in its fifth year, LLHM has raised a staggering £43 million for Tommy’s, the UK’s largest pregnancy and baby loss charity.

Global Engagement: Race Management Program in Chicago

It was another stateside visit in June when Ceri attended the Race Management Program in Chicago, facilitating discussions on Non-Binary Participation, Engaging Gen Z and Sustainability amongst others. Organized by Chicago Event Management, RMP is a mainstay of the conference calendar, forging new connections and innovations that contribute to the growth of the running events industry.

Interplas UK: Exploring New Frontiers

September marked our presence at Interplas UK, the UK’s leading plastics exhibition. With a focus on innovation, we explored technologies that will elevate iTAB as a product and brand, always passionate about staying at the forefront of industry developments.

Honolulu Bound: New Partnerships in Hawaii

In October, Alexis made waves in Hawaii, welcoming a new partnership with Honolulu Marathon Association. The fourth largest marathon in the US, this venture promises a long-lasting collaboration, bringing the spirit of aloha to the heart of the company.

Production Triumphs: iTAB Stars and Inspirational Stories

Throughout the year, our production team delivered over 800 marketing assets, including images, GIFs, and videos. The iTAB Stars video series showcased inspiring collaborations with events such as Canada Army Run, Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, Gold Coast Marathon, and Singapore Marathon. Notable achievements included Gareth Armstrong’s completion of the Boston Marathon to become a Six Star Finisher, and Para athlete Zac Leow’s Guinness World Record at the Singapore Marathon.

Expanding Global Footprint: New Partnerships Across Continents

As the running industry rebounded from the challenges of Covid, iTAB forged partnerships with events worldwide.

In the USA, we welcomed onboard OC Marathon, St. Pete Run Fest, Madison Festivals Inc, Akron Marathon Chartable Corporation, Soul Focus Sports, Cambridge Half Marathon & 5k, Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, Race Day Events, P3R, St. George Marathon and Beyond Monumental.

In Canada we are now proud partners of Montreal Marathon, Toronto Marathon, and Lc.

From the UK and Ireland, we were excited to add to the iTAB roster:- London Marathon Events, Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, Good Running Events, Age UK, Taurus Events, Bear Races, Nice Work and British Heart Foundation.

And last, but not least, Singapore Marathon, and Round the Bays in New Zealand.

Running Industry Alliance: A Supportive Network

In December, Gary participated in the Running Industry Alliance (RIA) for two days of enriching discussions and networking. iTAB’s membership of the RIA, a network uniting various sectors of the running industry, highlights our commitment to a thriving business community and a supportive eco-system.

Festive Cheers and Celebrations: Wrapping up the Year

As the year drew to a close, Luke shared some festive brews at the London Landmarks Half Marathon Christmas party, and the iTAB team gathered for our own Christmas outing in Reading. It was a joyful way to conclude a year filled with achievements, collaborations, and shared moments.

A Grateful Thank You!

To our partners across the globe, we extend a massive thank you for another year of incredible support and collaboration. As we embrace the holiday season, we wish everyone restful and joyful moments.

Here’s to an exciting and green 2024 when iTAB will be unveiling a new chapter in our sustainability story. As we increase our global footprint, we’re keen to lessen the impact we have on our fragile planet. Watch this space and see you on the starting line!
